Live Action Concept Illustration

If you are interested in Live action or anything else that requires photo driven illustrations, but with a painterly touch, this demo is for you.

In this 3 hour 51 minute REALTIME tutorial, I cover a widely used live action concept illustration/design process for creating cinematic story/set images for film. This video shows my entire process for how I transform rough paint sketches into usable, emotional illustrations to help describe a story's needs. I also cover the rarely described process of hunting for images, how to combine any photograph (with all the noise and bad exposure) into usable parts for the final image, and how to actually combine all the parts into one cohesive picture. A few other things covered include cinematic lighting, value grouping for picture clarity, adding the right amount of atmosphere, simplifying photo detail, planning light direction for maximum impact, adding figures and other set details for scale, place making, and much more!!
